I have it up and running. There isnt muchgoing on in KC. I have refrained from getting it on internet. Trying to stick with RF only for now. Fun stuff, though.

Just got the Pocket Ranger and dang it is sleek. Love the lanyard hole being centered, and it is so slim! Seems very durable, and for a full kit with a proper antenna, the price is perfect. Recommend and love all LowMesh devices!

The best node I have used period. Reliable and consistent performance. The developer and designer is passionate about the product and its performance. The injection molding is excellent, however the material is a bit delicate and prone to scratches. The stand out feature of this node is the absolutely amazing battery life. It unbelievable and puts this unit miles ahead of others. My new daily carry unit!

Well-built and excellent quality. This has the longest battery life I've seen on an EDC mesh device. I also love that I can get these in different colored accents, so I know which one I'm grabbing. At some point I will purchase a couple more along with accessories.
Great product, Unlike the vTech 4 the pocket ranger's charge lasts me a week or more.

Just recived my second pocket ranger, absolutely love it. I thought i was preordering the tan one but i guess i clicked the wrong one so i guess ill have to order a third 😂
I am really happy with my purchase. The finish and quality of the pocket ranger are perfect. I have bought a few other meshtastic devices and these are by far the best quality ones I have seen. I highly recommend pickinga couple up.
PROS: RX is excellent. The case is FANTASTIC, and the battery life is unbeatable (2+ weeks of 24/7 ops).
CONSIDERATIONS: TX leaves a bit to be desired. The recessed housing for the antenna makes it hard to plug into a wardrive antenna if you need to use an adaptor, and you'll need an external vehicle antenna, as the unit doesn't have enough TX power to punch through vehicle glass.
All-in-all, fantastic kit! Just needs some thought if you're going to be using it in a vehicle, and your own repeater if you don't have one direct LOS within 3 miles.
I tried to update the firmware and it failed. The unit now won't charge or turn on. I hesitate to open it up to see if there is anything I could fix. I am trying to get some sort of warranty service.
It might be the meshcore build, but it sometimes will not reconnect with my android phone after being out of range and the only way I've been able to resolve it is to re-flash meshcore.

Excellent out of the box. Battery life is great. Its small form factor is great for mobility. My only note would be that the buttons are recessed too far for my fat fingers - I have to use the tip of a pen or other implement to work them.

We really appreciate your note on the switch. To allow the device to stand upright on flat surfaces without accidentally turning off, we designed the bottom power toggle to sit flush. However, we definitely hear you on the accessibility. We have just updated our mold (and waiting for samples) to widen the button hole by a few millimeters, which will give fingers a lot more room to comfortably engage the switch. Thanks for helping us make the design better!
Love it. I took it on a 5 day Overlanding adventure and never needed to recharge it.
I absolutely love this device. It’s “Almost” the perfect companion. My only slight criticism is the Bluetooth range is very limited say compared to my smartwatch. But other than that, this is my go to mesh device.

Bought this at rarsfest over a week ago. Been using it everyday and still haven't needed to charge it. This thing has the best battery life of any that I've seen. Looking to buy another to use with friends on camping trips.
Exactly as advertised! Took a little effort to get Meshtastic installed, but works fine. Charged it three days ago and it's still at 90%. Would buy again.
I bought a Pocket Ranger at the recent RarsFest in Raleigh NC. I immediately began using it during my lunch break. As of a few minutes ago it has collected 131 MeshCore contacts. It has far surpassed my other meshcore device that has 4 contacts during the same time period, 6 days.
